Dear Customer,
We wish to inform you of a major security incident that occurred a few days ago, beyond our control, which resulted in the disclosure of more than 280 million usernames and passwords. This massive data breach—nicknamed “ALIEN TXTBASE Stealer Logs Leak”—stemmed from data collection performed by malware that infected millions of computers without their users' knowledge.
We took the initiative to verify all of our client accounts and identified several accounts appearing in this breached database. As a precautionary measure, we have forced a reset of the access credentials for these accounts. No Genious Communications account has been compromised to date, but we strongly encourage you to protect your credentials—not only on Genious Communications but also on any other sites and services you use.
Here are some recommendations:
Check the security of your email addresses: We invite you to visit haveibeenpwned.com to verify whether any of your email addresses have been involved in recent breaches, and to prioritize changing the associated passwords.
